A Legacy of Love and Dedication: Les and Carolyn Svendsen’s Augustana Story
Les and Carolyn Svendsen’s journey with Augustana University began in 1963 with a photo shoot outside the newly built Bergsaker Hall. Les, then a junior, and Carolyn, a freshman, posed together for the Augustana Alumni magazine, sparking a connection that would lead to their marriage a year later. Their time at Augustana was filled with shared experiences, from student life to campus events, which forged a deep bond with each other and with their alma mater.
